- TM is by far, THE WORST. I've NEVER had a good experience with them, never. Most recently I spent over $300 on tickets to see Elton John. Between the time I ordered/paid for them and when I went to pick them up, my credit card was lost and replaced.

- OMG, you are SOOO right about the dang surveys and pep talks. I can't stand it. Document that I took it, document my answers and move on. Oh wait, every year we have to do it again. ARGH.

- OMG... I want to cry for this child. I just finished (hopefully) potty training my 2 year old. She's done very well actually. The accidents she's had never made me angry enough to actually punish her, let along beat her.

- Adam, they are required to allow you time off for the birth of your child (up to the limits of the FMLA law, and only if the company is large enough to fall under said law)-- but they are NOT required to pay you.

- As a former military member and a disabled Vet, I have to disagree with you Lios. Maybe you got lucky, there were certainly pockets of great care that I found throughout my career and places that I'd rather not ever see again.

- I'd love to bike to work, but now I have a 65 mile commute that includes a day care drop off, one way! My company just moved, retained my job (yeah!) but I can't get my house sold so I am forced to commute the longer distance. Hubbs is in the same position.

- Ok, since you went there. I DID serve my country (11 yrs active duty with an unfortunate accident leading to a disability discharge, otherwise I'd still be there) and I DO think these 4 young marines were wrong. Was it an unfortunate, stupid decision? Absolutely.

- A very good friend of mine was killed in a tree vs. car incident during a wind storm a few years ago. His final actions saved the life of his 2 yr old daughter and the passenger riding with them. Heroes DO walk among us. None of us knows the day or the time, but our time will come.
